MASTERS of ragtime, Dixieland blues and early swing, The California Feetwarmers are renowned for an earthy depth of character that sets them apart from others who have followed that throwback path to New Orleans, Circa 1920.
Last year they played to 1000 revellers when they sold out Glasgow’s Old Fruitmarket during the city’s Celtic Connections Festival.
Holy Crow Jazz Band
Based in Los Angeles, Holy Crow Jazz Band performs old-time jazz and blues from the 1900s throughout the 1930s. The band’s repertoire includes many popular and obscure songs recorded by such artists as King Oliver, Bessie Smith, Bix Beiderbecke, Jabbo Smith, Louis Armstrong, Cliff Edwards, as well as original compositions. Holy Crow is led by Mario J. Maggio (clarinet/sax/guitar) and Jessy Carolina (vocals/percussion) and features the finest musicians in Southern California including: Trumpet- Charles De Castro, Barbara Laronga, Corey Gemme Trombone- Justin Reubenstein Guitar-David Elsenbroich, Luca Pino, Bob Parins Banjo- Conrad Cayman, Patrick Morrison Tuba- Bob Aul, Brandon Armstrong, Devon Taylor Piano- Chris Dawson, Andrew Barrett Holy Crow Jazz Band transports audience members back through the times of feel-good Prohibition era speakeasies where people were untroubled by consequence, and hardships of the Depression era, when music seemed to be the only cure for sorrow and loss.
Southwest Biscuit Company
The Southwest Biscuit Company is a Hillbilly Jazz and Western Swing band serving up a piping hot mix of western swing, hillbilly jazz, jazz standards, and a little rockabilly for good measure. With a groove that is sure to keep you dancing all night long.
Jody Byrd on lead vocals, Marty Smith on Steel Guitar, Jordan Bush on Lead Guitar,Clarinet, and harmony vocals, Armando Wood on Upright Bass and harmony vocals and Cole Bingham on drums. SBC follows the tradition started by acts like Bob Wills and Texas Playboys, and Hank Penny, as well as contemporaries like The Lucky Stars, and The B Stars, with a bit of their own twist.

The Candy Jacket Jazz Band is a nod to the past while also pressing forward with fresh, original compositions.
The Candy Jacket Jazz Band is comprised of some of the finest traditional jazz musicians in the Los Angeles area: Albert Alva (tenor sax), Nate Ketner (clarinet/alto sax), Bryan Shaw (trumpet), Dan Weinstein (trombone), Chris Dawson (piano), Seth Ford-Young (upright bass), Jonathan Stout (guitar), & Josh Collazo - (drums)
Lil' Mo and the Dynaflos
Lil' Mo and the Dynaflos came about one night at the World Famous Derby Club in Los Angeles as "Lil' Mo" Morris Everett and Cliff Quan discussed their love for Doo Wop music. Lil' Mo, being a veteran of previous Doo Wop groups and Cliff, being an avid Doo Wop listener and rockabilly guitar player, they decided "Why not give it a go"? The original group consisted of 5 vocalists and 4 musicians, whom Cliff recruited from the creme of the crop of L.A.'s Rockabilly and 50's Rhythm and Blues scene. Unlike other vocal groups, Cliff's idea was to make the band an integral part of the group (instead of a vocal group with a back up band). This idea was to form the structure and sound of "The Dynaflos". The current line-up consists of 4 vocalists and 4 musicians The Dynaflo's set consists of some obscure 50's-60's Doo Wop, some standards and some original tunes. Something for everyone! They blend their style of 50's, 60's, Doo Wop and R&B, with a rockin' band. Combine that with a high energy stage show and you'll find one undeniably fun, hard working, Doo Wop group that is hard to ignore. They are becoming high in demand at car shows, parties, clubs, etc... and just returned from a very successful show overseas, in Europe.
Carl Sonny Leyland Quartet plus Dave Stuckey!
Leyland has also continued his involvement with the rockabilly scene & plays each year in the backing band at Viva Las Vegas & more recently at the Rockabilly Rave USA. In this capacity he has worked with such notables as Janis Martin, Ruth Brown, Billy Lee Riley & Carl Mann.
While he possesses the necessary vocabulary to pay tribute to the greats of old, he refuses to limit himself to this & prefers to let each performance be an opportunity to say something new.
